xThe Minnesota Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (MNSHARP), started in 1996, xrecognizes companies whose managers and employees work together to develop safety and health xprograms that go beyond basic compliance with all of OSHA standards, and result in immediate and xlong-term prevention of job-related injuries and illnesses. Incentives for participant companies include xassistance from the department's Workplace Safety Consultation unit, public recognition for xemployers and employees, and exemption from Minnesota's OSHA scheduled compliance inspection xlists.

xPollux MNSHARP recognition ceremony took place Oct. 1, 2007. Guests included Commissioner xSteve Sviggum, Deputy Commissioner Michale Houliston, Senior Health Consultant Jeff Wasvick, xDirector of Communications James Honerman, and all Pollux Associates.
